Dr. Sharon Verdinelli
Dr. Sharon Verdinelli is proud to be a South Jersey native, having grown up in West Deptford where she attended St. Patrick's elementary school. After graduation from West Deptford High School in 1983, Dr. Verdinelli went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and sciences. She was accepted a year early to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated in 1990.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Verdinelli gained valuable experience as a resident at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Philadelphia and completed her Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from the hospital.
With her mom Joyce Kramer's keen business savvy behind her, Dr. Verdinelli began her private practice in West Deptford in 1992. She converted the existing home on Route 45 into a modern office with three treatment rooms, and the office was featured in Dental Economics as an 'Office of the Month'. After Joyce's early retirement from the Postal Service, she came on full time to manage the office for Dr. Verdinelli.
As the years passed, Dr. Verdinelli and Joyce found they had to expand the existing site. The office was renovated to add an additional three treatment rooms, dental laboratory and play area for children. The extra space has allowed Dr. Verdinelli and her staff to practice thorough infection control and to insure patients wait for treatment will be minimal.
Dr. Verdinelli has served as a faculty member at her alma mater, Penn Dental Medicine. Dr. Verdinelli is a member of the American Dental Association, Southern Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. After attending many hours of continuing education and passing a rigorous examination Dr.Verdinelli was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
